Just wanted to stop in here and introduce myself. My name is Joey and I've been keeping reefs for about 3 years now. I started with an established aquapod 24 from a friend and then branched out from there. I made a lot of mistakes along the way and I'm still continuing to learn. I set up an innovative marine 30gal cube in July and it is finally taking off. I am intrested in a lot of DIY projects and my latest focus has been LED's. I just built a ghetto actinic strip for my tank. Now I know I can do it and I know how to do it right.
Here is a picture from my aquapod when it was at it's peak. This was about 1.5yrs ago. Since then life happened and I didn't maintain it like I should have. I have gotten it turned around now and back on track. I am moving it to my office this weekend so all of my other coworkers can enjoy the reef hobby. Plus it will free up some more room in my man cave for guitar stuff.
First pic is of the tank when I had it at its peak. The next is a recent shot. I have more rock for it that I am adding tomorrow during the move to the office. The next shots are my ghetto DIY led actinic strip which works awesome and the last pic is right when I put water in my IM Nuvo 30gal. It looks much different now and I will get updated pics. I have it stocked with a pair of black clowns, a sixline, hi-fin goby/pistol and a bunch of coral. I also have a yellow watchman that I thought disappeared but found him in my back chamber I just can't get him out yet. I will put him in the aquapod when I finally capture him.
