Hi all! I'm a clinical psychologist in East Texas. Just joined up this past week but I have been reading and learning from this forum for almost two years, ever since I thought about going reef. Started cycling my first tank spring of 2016. That used tank developed two different pinhole leaks this past summer, so I replaced it with a new tank that I could drill. Luckily didn't lose any critters.

I just got my new tank all tweaked last month and now I am about to go Triton. Reworked my sump 2 weeks ago. dKH at 8.1 (from over 10), almost there.

Current setup is a 90 gallon display with a 40 gallon sump. Eschopps Eclipse L overflow plumbed as a bean animal. Mostly fish, shrimp and softies. Stopped adding livestock when the leaks started. Once I have the Triton method stabilized, time to add some more corals! I'll post some current pictures soon.

Thanks everyone! Tell me - how do you add the quotes some of you have at the bottom of your posts?

OK here are a few pics... full tank

Two of my faves - Pete the Pistol Shrimp and his guardian Gumby. Inseparable. Pete and rearrange my whole sand bed overnight and does so about 1-2x per week.

Welcome to R2R!!!

And my newly redesigned Triton-ready sump...First is the overflow section with cheato (yeah I need a better fuge light). The tube running across to the plastic container on the far left are my protein skimmer overflow.

And here is the center section and return. Center section has protein skimmer, carbon reactor and GFO reactor. My old bubble trap was over under over. Still got some micro bubbles if return section level got low. Triton recommended first baffle be under to improve flow through chamber so I went with under/over/under. Works great! Highly recommended. Since only the middle baffle goes all the way to the bottom you can put baffles closer together and still clean it out easily. There is no trapped section in the baffle at all. Far right are the 4 triton containers. Each hold 1.6 liters. $1 each at Dollar Tree.
