Hi everyone! I'm Chuck from Gloucester, VA and after many years of keeping small freshwater tanks with the kids I'm thinking about making the jump to saltwater. The varieties and amazing colors have captured my imagination!

I've just begun the journey, gathering books and reading all I can at this point.

Cheers

Welcome to r2r!! There are great people here to learn from as I have... Research does a world of good so you know what you are getting into (notice I said getting into... get a saltwater tank, you will be happy you did)

Hey Chuck, welcome to R2R. Glad to hear you have decided to make the jump to saltwater and even happier that you are actually reading up on it. The only bit of info I could offer off the bat would be go as large as possible as stability will be easier. You don't have to go 1000gallons or anything like that but I would not reccomend starting with a nano tank. 75g-120g would be a good start. IMO. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Greetings Chuck and welcome to R2R! It's great to have fellow Virginian on board!

Hi, welcome to r2r!! I'm looking forward to hearing about your journey into reefkeeping.

Thanks everyone for all of the encouragement! If only I didn't need to work I could read through all this information on sw, reefs, fish, etc. much faster :nerd:
