Gosh, when I went from on/off lighting (my rusty old Galaxy Hydros) to dimmable, programmable lighting (my Noopsyches) it was a whole different tank! I couldnt even think about going back...
I am working on DIY PWM Apex control of the Galaxy Hydros for my QT tank now I like dimming so much!

I got the Orphek camera lens kit and am impressed with it so I can only imagine the quality in the light bars; and they do look really impressive over a tank!
Bars are great,,,, The atlantiks are Phenominal

I have not used violet as I prefer the sky blue and blue plus combo which contain violet diodes
Old post, sorry to ask now, but how are the sky blue and blue plus comparing? I have a blue plus on my tank to supplement my Hydras, but it’s just too blue/UV for me. Would the sky blue be more actinic? Considering the sky blue or even the reef day at this point…

Sky blue offers more pop and PAR

Some good pop without going really blue? I like a whiter look to tanks, but want to get a bit more color… the violet reef day looks like it may fit the bill for me
Not as bright as it looks in pics - more of as its name implies- Sky blue. The blue plus offers happy median

I have Not used these

How do you like these?
They are a nice lights, well made, but they are a lot heavier then I expected them to be. To be honest I am not using them due to their weight and bulk. I have not been able to figure out a clean way to mount them with my existing lights.

many ways to mount based on your configuration. Mine within canopy.

I have 2 Hydra 64HD’s on the single arm mounts. Was able to mount an Orphek OR3 90 Blue Plus using those mounts, and looks pretty clean. I just want to swap the Blue Plus for a Violet Reef Day and would like to bump up to the 120. Agree with them being heavy, felt a bit sketchy when I had 2 of them up there.

What’s your current setup that’s preventing you from mounting them?
