Hi just wanted to have a first post, see what you think and get the ball rolling. I`m totally new to this but very willing to learn. I have recently set up a nano tank with around 10kg of live rock and 50 ltrs of water. My lighting is Aquabeam 600 ultima Fiji single and Aquabeam 600 ultima twin reef white. Pumps are 1 fluval cp3 and 1 fluval cp2. I also have a small fluval filter which I have some rowa phos and filter floss in . I also put some pure marine balls in this also. In the tank at the minute is the obligatory clown fish, two pom pom crabs, 1 porcelain crab, 1 emerald crab, 2 hermit crabs, 3 turbo snails and a tuxedo urchin. Two zoanthids, 1 feather duster, couple of small mushrooms, frogspawn and a pusing xenia. tanks been going now around 9 weeks. I do a 5 ltr water change every week and keep my water topped up with my local shops water when evaporated. The guy at my local shop has been fantastic in helping me get the tank set up but I just want to stop pestering him and start to learn more without taking up his time. Ive just purchased 3 salifert test kits. 1 for nirite, 1 nitrate and 1 ammonia. The nitrate is just below 25 Nitrate is 0 and ammonia is 0.25. As the tank is small I want to get in mostly nice lps and sps corals now that im up and running. All advice is very welcome

You will need a KH (alkalinity) test kit, calcium, pH and phosphate test kits and should run them once a week along with your nitrate test. I wouldn't worry about the nitrite or ammonia unless you suspect something is really wrong.
The rest sounds good but you may consider getting a bit bigger tank, more room for mistakes that beginners intend to make. 50 gallon is I think one of the easiest to maintain. Good luck :)
