Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate and will raise the alkalinity. Is that your goal?

No, my goal is to stabilize my PH above 8.0 without raising the ALK. I am dosing Kalk, and running CO2 Scrubber but I want to avoid raising my alk if that is possible.

I might be the wrong guy to help, I would expect to see it above 8 here. Though I've been dosing kalk to a pH setpoint for a few months now and basically ignoring alk. It swing a bit initially but now the swings are pretty minor.

Baking soda lowers the pH. There is no chemical that raises pH and not alkalinity.

Skimmers may raise or lower pH.

reducing CO2 in the room air or a skimmer intake can help raise pH.
