OK, I'm going nuts. I have a 3/4" and 1" bulkheads, bottom of the bulkhead is threaded. What kind of connecter do I need? I can't find any connectors that are internally threaded on one side and slip on the other side so I can transition from the bulk head to the pipe going into the sump

Sorry didn't finish my thought..

Or do I slip the pipe on the inside of the bulkhead on the bottom side of it

Bulkheads are meant to be used by connecting pipe on the inside. The outside is threaded for the nut only. Inside, it can be threaded. If so then you need a "thread to slip" connector if you want to use smooth regular PVC pipe. If it is smooth then the pipe slips in and glue is used. If it is on the inside of the tank and slip then normally no glue is needed since there is no water pressure on the pipe.

Pipe goes inside and you use this. 663DD669-A2A1-489B-B575-92C3BB428F27.jpeg
