I have another question on why my zoas are not opening. What would cause my zoas to not open or open on partially yet my palys like nuclear greens, pandoras, etc have not batted an eye and are perfectly fine?

Yes, and spiders. Have some asterinas in the tank so I'm looking for a harlequin shrimp. However. Many colonies that are closed i dont see stars on them at that time. Also, the colonies seem to try to open in the beginning of the day but then close half way through the light cycles. But again, only the zoas. The palys are open almost 24/7

Get a siphon. A long feeding one without a needle tip. Put it on the zoas and suck off whatever is crawling on them. The reason I said nudis earlier is when I see a Zoe trying to close, or looking odd, or with anything that looks like its "on" them. I do this. 90% of the time, baby nudi is to blame. They are so small it's almost impossible to identify them. And the newly hatched ones are almost microscopic.

No Angels or any other fish known to possibly pick on them. Nor do I see anyone picking. Have mainly heliocores wrasse, leopards, coris, fairy's, etc. All parameters are in check, alk 9, calc 425, mag 1350-1400, n03 3. P04 0.03-0.09 salinity 35ppt. I dipped the colonies I could remove, nothing came off except detritus and they are acting the same as before.

Nuclear greens are pretty tough and virtually immune to biological irritants that affect their smaller zoa cousins. One thing I've learned about zoas and palys over the years is some things really tick off zoa colonies while larger palys don't care and vice versa.
Dosing vodka is another one that can irritate zoanthids.
