Another question.

OK folks. So I posted a week back about a diatom bloom.

Everything cleared up well on it’s own.

My NH3 is at .3 ml/L with a Fluval test kit.
Conversion to ppm (unless Google is tricking me) is about the same.
I would have thought after the bloom and die off that it would have increased.
I have 0 nitrites or nitrates.
Am I missing something or just being impatient

What are you cycling with?

Live rock only. Well established. 55 lbs in a 200 G tank. The other rock is dry rock ( prob same weight) that I had from a tank 20 years ago.

If live rock was added that was already established then the only part of your tank that needs bacteria is the dry rock and substrate. Your tank will support the same thing than an established 55 gallon tank would.
