I do not mean this as an attack on your sale, so admins have mercy. But I am very interested to know where you got this, as all Rhizotrochus spp. are illegal to import. If it came from another vendor, that's not on you, but still.

Rhizos are not currently on Cites to all the people saying they are currently Illegal. Don't know when it got pulled from Appendix II, but it is not currently there.

As for CITES actually issuing collection permits for them, I don't have any data.

They've never been legal to import, and aren't now. You won't find a CITES issued for their collection.

Apparently last month they lumped together all corals in the Scleractinia Order onto Appendix 2. So basically put, now all "hard coral" is listed under threatened. So they shifted Rhizos from being a unique listing to the entire order.

And this is way I believe more permitted collection should be allowed.

And I agree with most species, that there will come a time when reefs are only found being kept by humans. But with a non photosynthetic coral like this and others like dendronephthya and scleronephthya, I don't believe most of us should be allowed to keep them. They're too challenging for what a lot of aquarist are able to provide. As for being listed as threatened, it's true that a lot of them are. That wasn't a call made just to spite aquarists.
