Another return pump?

I’m trying to figure out how much pump I need for my build. my aquarium is a 150 gallon with dual returns, sump underneath tank, manifold to feed refugium (with dual outputs) and optional reactor.

I’m looking at Fluval Sp6 and jaebo 15000-18000. I don’t think can justify spending big bucks on a return pump. I have run eheims and jebaos with no issues for many years.

Another return pump is certainly a good investment particularly if you use the Jebaos'. If the returns are independent, i.e. not tied together then I would certainly do it. Backup systems are good for the peace of mind they afford.

sorry let me clarify. I was looking to use one return pump (with backup for servicing or malfuncation)

Good enuff... Statement still holds. I would get two if you have the where-with-all to do so. Back-ups are good!

A VarioS is not a Jebao. Additionally, and something to consider, if you have an Apex you can control the VarioS, not so with the Jebaos'.

I had decided on a varios 8 earlier this week! Obviously, changed my mind. I’m just confused.

I have a VarioS 6 with a Jebao 9000 as my back-up. I also have an Apex. I like the controllability the VarioS affords with ramping through Apex programming for feed cycles. Cost-benefit analysis and if you have an Apex, the decision is pretty easy, for me at least.
