Another salt thread (Kent)

So with the closure of Dr fosters and Smith I can no longer get my 200 gallon box of Kent salt for 42.99 shipped and I'm thinking about switching to something with a better balance of minerals for my reef. I've done quite a bit of research and am deciding between reef crystals and tropic marine pro. I care about price and mineral levels (Cal Alk mag ect). Which do you prefer and where do you buy it (price)? Thanks!

Also, is there any truth to what I've heard about when switching salts you should mix the two together and make it a slow transition?

Over the 2 you listed Tropic Marin for sure. If you want to save money and still get a good quality salt mix either Fritz RPM or HW Marine or Reefer are great. No you dont need to mix the old and new salts but using a salt that has near the same alk will be much easier on the reef.

Are you not into the salts I mentioned? I'm not familiar with the ones you mentioned... Mainly I want to reduce Dosing in my tank
