One of my small acro colony show signs of the above symptoms. I got it a couple months ago and the base of the colony was dead, but it was old. now, started receding.

should I take it out and dip it with seachem coral dip?

You'll probably need to provide a bit more information for people to help. I'm no expert but in the absence of actually seeing any pests I'd be more inclined to think it has to do with water chemistry.

I am fighting high phosphate at .50. Currently running phosguard and chemipure. Alk is steady at around 8.5 hasn’t check calcium yet but it should be good since I have been doing water 25% changes weekly.

Pics would be helpful.
In my opinion 25% could be a big change in a tank, sps doesn't like big changes. How big is the tank? Age of system? Full tank pic to show placement would help as well.

It's usually a good idea to cut the dead tissue/skeleton away from the healthy tissue ski that you ate left with a healthy frag.

Did the stn rtn start before or after the phosguard and chemipure?

Don’t think 25% to 35% water change is huge. 120g and almost 2 years old. Not going to chop it yet. Can’t take picture now since light is about to cut off.

Ok. How would I drop my phosphate if I don’t go this route. Dang it, was going to run phosphate RX tomorrow too
Get rid of the gfo and chemipure ASAP, yesterday if possible. Do several 35% water changes of the next week. Then test and see where you are. 0.50 po4 will not kill your sps but freaking out and dropping them too fast can.

Will give it a shot

So I found something interesting that someone actually used crazy glued all over the receded area and it worked for them short term. Will see if they reply my message and how the affected corals are doing now.

How did the corals look when your po4 was 0.90?
sps were ok. But my lps was dying left and right slowly one after another. Then one day my Duncan’s were completely closed. I did small water change, still closed. So I borrowed a phosphate Hanna checker and found out that my phosphate was .90. I then ran chemipure phosguard and changed a larger water change, the Duncan’s came back almost 90% over night

Going to mentioned that when I picked up this coral along with other corals, they had old receded areas. So I assumed they were receded at some points then stopped?
