Another stocking question for a 40B...which Wrasse to go with?

I'm getting close to setting up my 40 gallon breeder and getting water in it. I'm starting to think about fish. I want a peaceful tank with a lot of inverts and LPS dominated. Fish I'm thinking of are:

Clownfish pair (Percula or Ocellaris) (free swimming)
Tail-spot Blenny (rock)
Wrasse (rock work & free swimming)
Shrimp and Goby pair (sandbed)

maybe a Royal Gramma
maybe another free swimming fish
maybe a sand-sifting Goby (not sure if it'll get along with the other)

The Gramma and sand Goby might be too many fish. The wrasse is what I'm wondering about the most. I don't know much about them. I was thinking a flasher wrasse. Any recommendations? Should a fish like this be added first or any time?

A flasher wrasse would be an excellent choice, any species except P. octotaenia. Flashers could be added at any time with that stock.

McCosker's flasher wrasse is a great little flasher wrasse that is fairly common in the hobby. You could also go for some of the smaller Halichoeres wrasses such as the melanurus, yellow coris, or Christmas wrasse. If you're really worried about space, a pygmy/possum wrasse would be a great small-size contender.

As long as you have a solid filtration system, an extensive aquascape for habitat, and add fish slowly, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to have all the fish on your list.
