Is there any recession on the other torches at all...even the littlest bit?
Yes , I’ve had a green one that lost 3 heads to bailout .

OK sorry to hear that.Yes , I’ve had a green one that lost 3 heads to bailout .
OK sorry to hear that.
Something is off water wise.
I'd recheck all parameters and send off an icp test if possible.
Check for rusty screws in the cabinet area.
Oh, that is really low.Going by ppm sorry haha I always convert it after
Oh, that is really low.
Does it always run that low?
Definatly need to raise it and keep it stable. Raise it by 0.5/1.0 daily.
100%Could this be the reason for the retraction of the torch ?

Unfortunately, when things go bad, they may or may not recover. This damage could have happened months ago and just now showing it.Any ideas of what else could be causing an issue ? Tank has been going for 5-6 months now.
Ph 8.2
Salinity 1.025
Temp 78-79
Alk 7.-7.5
Nitrate 30
Po4 .4
Would it be best for me to lower the nitrates and start to run lower ?
I haven’t had a bad breakout of algae anywhere. It’s all seemed to be controlled at the levels I run.
Unfortunately, when things go bad, they may or may not recover. This damage could have happened months ago and just now showing it.
Is the alk now up to 8ish?
If you nitrates have always run high, imo, I would not try now to lower them. I would just keep things as stable as humanly possible in hopes of recovery.
Oh, i thought you said the others were okay.Alk is around 7.5
I’m not sure what could be truly causing this. It’s happened to 2-3 of my torches now. It caused my green torch to bailout its polyps but the polyps were completely healthy .
Wouldn’t the torch be fully retracted if it was damaged or unhappy ?? The center polyps stretch out so far and you can’t tel it’s unhealthy during the day. But at night or morning you can see the retracted edges
