I am dosing BRS two part in an 8 month old mixed reef tank (200G). The alkalinity drops about .1 dkh per day and i dose about 15ml soda ash to raise it .1. But, my Calcium does not drop too much so I don't dose everyday...maybe once per week. Alkalinity is typically around 8.0-8.3, Calcium hovers around 440ish. pH is normally around 8.0, SG 1.026, temp 78ish.

I thought alkalinity and calcium were supposed to drop proportionally. I dose based on my Hanna checkers for alkalinity/Ca so i don't dose proportionally. Is that ok?

More importantly, I dose both at the same time. Does dosing simultaneously cause a negative interactions/problems where one dilutes/increases the other?

BTW for SPS, I only have montis, porites, stylos and birdsnest. The Birdsnest have died and I don't know why so this is why I am asking this question to see if my dosing process is causing issues. I have some acros in QT and I will be adding them to the DT shortly. I use the same dosing regimen in the QT and everything seems to be ok.

What your doing is fine imo. My 90 after a year is proportionate now but wasn’t for a long time. My newer 40b uses 3x more alk than calcium currently.

Sounds just fine.....in theory they should be dosed in equal amounts.....BUT, it also depends on the salt you are using and the frequency of water changes and volumes. My only comment is dosing at the same time. This can be done if in different high flow areas, or simply waiting until the first dose dissipates before adding the next component. If actually added at the same time in the same area, you potentially could get immediate calcium carbonate precipitation.
