I found a timer on Amazon that fits in line with the power for the lights. It gives you the ability to program the lights. With the feature of sun rise and sun set. With a price under $15 you can't beat it.

Sweet - far cheaper than upgrading to the larger Fluval light. How did you configure it? Just plug the power cord/switch for the Nicrew into the Fluval?

The instructions were vague. You set the time on the LCD screen. Then you set the ramp up and down. Then the percent of light, then the times you want the light to change. I just did one change from 0-100% over 30min and the reverse at night

It fits between the power supply and lights. Mine the lights had a connection between the plug and light so it fit perfectly there
