No Snow so far this year, so I haven’t pre-sprayed the driveway. Soaked some Firewood in my old Saltwater, first batch a week, second batch 18 days, I forgot it. Let it dry before burning. Makes a colorful fire.

Living in Florida this all sounds like wizardry to me! Can you explain how one pre-soaks their driveway with recycled saltwater? Also, did you choose any type of wood and how long do you need to wait until its dry?

Right before winter storms you can pour the saltwater onto areas that will ice up or get snowed on. The salt that's left behind from evaporated water will keep snow or ice from sticking and melt it.

I dump buckets of the water change saltwater down the stairs and sidewalk as needed also for ice or snow. Hasn't been that bad this winter in Indiana tho.

Ummm, I definitely need to try this here in Wisconsin :)

I was pouring it on the sidewalk last year and all my plants on the sides of the sidewalk died.

Going to try both of these.
thx

Saltwater is amazing as a presoak for greasy pans, plates, and utensils before they go into the dishwasher. Soak in saltwater, freshwater rinse, dishwasher, no residue.

I don’t pour it buy the buckets full on the concrete. I was using a pump up sprayer, then switched to a sprinkling water can, it’s a lot faster. Also I have the Brown River Rock, down both sides of the driveway. It acts as a driveway heater, to help melt light snow and what’s left after clearing the driveway. We’ve had so much rain here in Maryland, the Saltwater has had minimal effects on the grass and plants. Also I’m using it to rot a stump.
