Dr. Novak uses Kitty litter for his anoxic canister filter. I looked at walmart and found the natural litter and it was made from fullers earth. I have Turface MPV and its made from calcined fullers earth. I looked it up and calcined means heated. My question is. Will Turface work in an anoxic filter?

Look into bentonite. Often it’s used as oil absorbent for shop floors. It’s grey, light and porous. Get some without scents or other additives that don’t belong in a reef tank and it should work fine.
