I plan on getting some anthias for a future tank build. However it will be tang dominated and I'm worried the tangs will be harrassing the anthias. Will tangs bother the anthias?
These are the species I'm interested in.
Lyretail
Ventralis
Sunburst fathead
Blotched

About 1500 gallons. With many different species of tangs.
Haha well with a 1500g tank I don't see it being a problem what so ever. theres plenty of space for everyone to roam around.

That's good news. Gosh 1500 gallons. It seems so close yet so far away.
For the ventralis anthias i heard they were hard feeder what do you guys recommend to start making it eat?

Hatch baby brine. That will get most picky planktivores feeding.

I think the key point here is tangs can be ticky and territorial period, this is not especially true towards anthia or any other fish unless it's another tang, especially the same genus.
Tangs require space, and obviously you are providing plenty.

As for working w/ ventrallis, the foods mentioned will help, but I think most important is having them in an isolated QT so there is no other food competition, they are shy and finicky, so getting them comfortable enough to eat is key, and then transfer to display giving those same foods they are used to.

Never had a tang bother an anthia. But anthias can be finicky cuz they can be skittish tang or not.
Yes, as stated ventralis, can be a lil difficult do to small mouths and constant need for food. But if your feeding heavy with great filtration then you'll be fine.
