Have an anthias I've had for a week, day 1 dosed gen cure. Started feeding with metroplex and focus yesterday, and did a second treatment of gen cure today (7 days after first). Also started to slowly add copper to the 40 breeder today with a goal of 0.5 (copper power). She is in the tank with 3 fairy/flasher wrasses. Hoping it isn't uronema. Also have Kanaplex on order. Seems like a whiteish patch that is a bit raised. She is eating no problems there.

If it is Uronema, it is an early case. I would say that it isn't Uronema except that this an Anthias, and you've only had it a week (sigh).

Good that you are being proactive with your QT protocol. Generally, I ramp up copper first and then deal with other issues later on - have lost too many fish to Amyloodinium or Cryptocaryon while trying to dose with Prazi, etc.

Isn't the 0.5 dose for Copper Power really low? I've not used it myself, but my understanding is that your target should be around 2.25 ppm. Are you going light because of the wrasses? My fear is that you won't be at a therapeutic dose....

Either fungius or uronema. Good water quality is essential in healing.
What is your ammonia and nitrate level?
Im assuming this is about a 3 month old tank. . . are you using RO water or tap water from Sink?
I would perform a freshwater bath which is a first step to treatment of fungus or uronema and try Ruby Rally pro Or even Melafix (available at petsmart)

Yes, low dose because the anthias and wrasse don't handle it well. My other QT is at 2.25 right now.

The trouble is that this is so far below therapeutic value, that diseases will still be able to gain a foothold. I use Coppersafe, and it works well for quarantine, even with Anthias, wrasses and Centropyge, but it is not very effective at curing acute active infections.

Yes, newer tank ammonia is 0 nitrate around 20 -30. Using RO water. Tank has 2 sponges with airstones and a HOB with plastic balls (so I can throw them away after each QT cycle)

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
