I did a Google search but could to be an answer. How often should I be feeding in an attempt to incite them to eat?

I started with rotifers. Haven't seen them eat but they're also very small. One small cube was defrosted in tank water and I've poured some into the tank twice today.

Haven't seen a feeding response but all four resplendent anthias in my QT are shoaling together in the current.

This made a night and day with our Bartletts

My Marshall Island Anthias were a bit finicky at first, but I had good success with LRS food especially the fish eggs. I found they don't respond to feedings unless there is a lot of turbulence in the quarantine tank. I added a couple of pumps to my QT and the feedings were much more successful.

Ok. So I've had them for about 7 hours. The frozen cyclops did it. 3 of four are eating. All four are active and swimming together. I'm excited. I'll continue on out with the cyclops for a week and bump up to some brine so they get accustomed to it for the display.

I'm not an expert but this is what works well for me when it comes to Anthias.

While in QT, I stick a RW 8 in the tank with them and crank it on high else mode, so reef mode. That stimulates their natural current.

I use cyclops, frozen pods and shaved mysis and drop it into the current. It evoked an eating response in each 8 lyretails and 8 bimacs. They went nuts for the food on day one.

When I tried resplendents I had them in a boring flow less tank. Dropped food in: no response for two weeks until all perished.

Anthias expend a lot of energy swimming in one spot but they swim into the currents so they grab food as it goes by them.

When I get ventralis that's the exact strategy I'll use.

Good luck

Yea. Rw4 in my container. It's only a 53L sterilite container from HD. I'll switch the else. Just have it on high 3.

I forgot to mention it was on else high using an older controller for a WP25. When I used the RW controller I used else on like 50-75%

When I get new small fish like anthias, I always start off with Tigger pods.
I also use ROE, and Hikari mysis( the smaller kind).
And as mentioned I always add the food in from of a powerhead.

I have 10 Bartlett anthias in my tank and i found the secret to getting them to eat is to have groups of them.Try feeding brine shrimp (frozen) is fine several times a day

Lost one. Seems to have had internal parasites. Had white stringy poop.

I think I also fed too much and ammonia burnt the gill, although I used prime.

Thats a bummer:-(
I lost one of my guys because he jumped out of the tank once!! Its now covered..If the anthias is outgoing and eating in the store you wont go wrong especially if you can put lots of them ( 5 or more) in your tank you will be fine and with that group they will develop a herum and one becomes a super male with unreal coloration....

In a qt that size, large frequent water changes can keep the ammonia at bay.

If the ammonia burns aren't too bad, methylene blue can be used to reverse the damage.

Having a few softball sized pieces of live rock in the sump that can be utilized in qt can help keep ammonia under control in the future.

I placed a piece of live rock in the Qt. not sure if it was ammonia or not. Just strange that I went from three/four active to 2 remaining. One is still doing well. Second I couldn't see and I didn't want to move stuff around.
