Anthias in a 40 breeder?

I, personally, would not. While they are smaller fish, they do swim around a lot. They are hard enough to keep alive in a big tank...lol. Just my 2 cents....

although it's not what would be suggested imo you can pull it of with a couple of conditions.... pick one of the hardier species, feed more than once a day and have good strong current, which hopefully makes up for the smaller space functioning kind of like a treadmill hehe I've kept succesfully 3 lyretail anthias for about a year however 1 of them constantly gets beat up by the male and bigger female. it might be bc the lyretails are one of the more aggressive spcs or due to the small tank size not sure but due to this I wouldn't suggest more than 2
