So I just saw this cut like mark on him a few minutes ago. Idk where this came from and he is swimming very gingerly. Does anyone know what happened to him??

Anthias are prone to body ulcerations, particularly new additions.
 
It's most likely bacterial. It looks that way to me now. I see this all the time in anthias. While in QT it's important to watch them carefully for this and treat quickly since these infections can take them out quickly. He'll need QT and something like kanaplex or furan2.
 
It also looks pretty thin-- is it eating?
 
Some speculation that these ulcerations can be uronema, though that is likely only if a new fish.
