Well it's been a tough and long ride for my anithias QT. Treated with kanaplex metroplex for 2 weeks battling some bacterial infection along with prazipro afterwards but still lost almost all my anthias before dosing the copper. After completed the copper treatment there were only three left in QT. One was not eating at all since the first day I put it in and it perished after the copper treatment. As soon as the third one passed, one of the remaining two started hiding and not eating as before. The second one was chasing pellet and everything I put into tank during the copper treatment. It continued to hide and not eat for almost 4 weeks right after the third one passed till yesterday. It was so skinny and couldn't hold it's stand on the current and started to rolling in water and got sucked into powerhead. It died afterward.

Two weeks ago I bought one fresh water black molly and acclimated it to saltwater. The molly is still doing fine in the QT with the last anthias left. No sign of spot or ich, rubbing or anything. The remaining anthias is fat and happy, also no visible sign of parasites.

I am still wondering why the second one passed away like this. Initially I thought it was blind right after the third one died. It didn't react to light, but when I tap the glass close to it it will move away. It didn't even touch R.O.E. nor LRS after the third one passed. It used to chasing these food like no tomorrow before.

Right now I am hesitated what to do about the last anthias and the molly. I didn't see any sign of parasite, but I am not sure what to do next. (The last anthias is in the QT for almost 3.5 months.)

If the last anthias looks and acts healthy and the molly is showing no signs of disease or parasite, then one must assume she's ok. Have you removed all meds from the water before putting the molly in there?

Yes, copper was totally removed before molly was in. Prozipro was way before molly's introduction. They are all looking good, besides molly has some grey white stringy poop. He always has a string of poop (usually grey or white) attached for a while. Don't know if this is normal for fresh water molly or is it an intestinal disease?

He shouldn't have white stringy poop at all. I'm thinking this could explain what happened with the second anthias. Possibly she had intestinal worms and the molly ate a bit of the poop from the bottom of the tank and got them too. Thinking of the timeline of events, does that make sense to you?

I didn't notice any stringy poop from last anthias during the molly introduction. But several anthias have stringy poop during and before the copper treatment. I fed food with metro + kana for a long period but it didn't improve. I didn't see any pooping action or stringy poop from the second anthias since he was eating at all. Molly started this stringy poop symptom the second day he was in. I tried to feed metro + kanaplex for a while but it didn't improve. Molly dose like to pick stuff from the bottom so it is a possibility he picked up some poop from the infected one.

There isn't much reason to feed the kanaplex in the food for intestinal parasites. Try just feeding them the metroplex + focus twice a day, every day for a minimum of 10 days straight. See what happens at that point. You can add garlic to the medicated food if the fish aren't showing much interest in it.
