have two misbars in qt. Tank is dosed with metro. Just started NFG today. Had copper up to 2.05 but the larger one quit eating so lowered it back down . It ate white worms quite well for a couple days. Then it started to breath harder then normal and going to the surface a lot. Almost lost it yesterday. Did fresh water bath, no flukes, and rally bath for 90 min. Results were good but it’s still breathing pretty hard. The smaller of the two is eating well and shows no symptoms but I figure it will in time. Nothing visible at all. One odd thing they both do after eating or when excited by food smell is flare gills and open mouth wide very fast and repeatedly several times. Wondered if this might be something they just do or a symptom? Hope someone might have experience with this. @HotRocks maybe? At this point I am treating for internal infection as a guess.
Thanks, Jim

So I have changed things up. I decided to go from NFG to General Cure. The big fish is still off food and breathing heavy. The smaller one is eating just fine though picky. I just added three more to the group. Did 5 min.fresh water dip and 90 in rally bath and then in 20 qt that has general cure in it. Slight bit of copper but just slight. I see no signs of disease just the breathing issue. Thought about another bath in rally or maybe a bath in NFG or Praziopro? I know the general cure has praziquantel in it. Looking for some advice I guess. @ngoodermuth @4FordFamily @HotRocks .
Thanks,
Jim

Can you post any pictures/video? What foods are you feeding or have your tried with the one that won’t eat? What is the copper level at now? Any visible discoloration on either of them?

I think I would dose just Metroplex for the next dose (instead of general cure) and soak the food for the one that is eating, in general cure + focus. Uronema has been common in anthias lately.

You can do one other general cure dose 5-7 days after the first one (in place of the Metroplex dose that is due during that time) but besides that, I generally don’t like to overdo the praziquantel in the water column- especially with copper.

I have a mix of fish meat, squid, mysis, brine, shrimp meat and scallops. All diced and frozen. I shave the block and dice again so the pieces are small. Add zeo, zeocon,Vit.c, focus and central cure. Add fish oil or garlic. The bigger one was eating right away but then quit. Got it to eat white worms two days ago aggressively but then just shut down. Little guy eats spiro brine. Also soaked in GC and focus. Fussy eater. Passes everything else. I will try video later and get you a # for copper.
No discoloration, no spots. I started them on metro from day one at Humblefishes recommendation. Am a week in now.
Thanks

I wouldn’t do metro and general cure at the same time... since they both contain the same active ingredient.

What meds are in the tank currently? Just so I'm clear...

Slight bit of copper, metro was due to be dosed two nights back but instead I did NFG. After further reading. Decided last night to go general cure. So remnants of NFG and General cure and a little copper. Will do water change tonight. Metro just didn’t seem to be helping anything.
