I was wondering if you can pair a batch of 2 females of one species of anthias with a male anthias of a different type or if it has to be the same species male and female pair. I've only ever had a pair of the same species before a tank crash. Thank you

Different species of anthias fall into different catagories as far as aggression and social behaviors.
Anthis don't truly pr, so gender is based on social dynamics. In many cases, having 2 females of 1 species and a male of another will just result in one of the 2 females transitioning into male.
