I purchased a Rainbow BTA for my clowns from another reefer in my area that just kept nothing but nems in this 15 gallon tank with pretty low lighting, and he said they all split from one mother nem over a 4 year period.
So I'd been showing the clowns videos trying to get them to check it out but it always flinched away or closed up when they swam close to it or tried to touch it so they gave up and hang out with the frogspawn now. I thought maybe since it was just a tank full of nothing but nems they never hosted anything and are weirded out by physical interaction?

I bought a porcelain anemone crab because I figured it would hang out around it until it got used to being touched but it is Really fighting the crab; staying closed up, barely opening and even kind of thrashing when the crab tries to crawl into the tenticles.
Do they have to get used to be interacted with? How long do you think something like that would take?

Thank you!

How long have you had the nem in there with the fish and crab?

The clowns lived in the tank before the anemone, they’ve lived with the anemone for about a month and a half, the crab was introduced about 3 days ago
They appear to have started to calm down actually, I’ll attach a current picture that I just took
