Ants in my automatic feeder.

I keep getting ants in my automatic feeder. I have placed ant traps around but they keep coming back. Any suggestions?

Block the path to the feeder with petroleum jelly (don't use on rubber).

Do the ants make their way into the tank via the feeder? If so, does the fish eat them? If so, free food!
