I've always had good luck with Terro brand ant bait/poison.

+1 for terro, best product I have ever used for all kinds of ant types. Also very cool behavior, will have to check my containers more closely from now on.

Yes ants get thirsty too and if it’s dry out...
Keep their water bowl filled

I just posted on he other page.. they are called grease ants and feed on fats, sugars, and proteins similar starch. Vinegar and and an attractant is what I prefer and treating outside for tracking they make so can’t get back in.

This was from last year but these were fire ants, at least they stung like fire ants when I scooped them out
