So I have a Acrylic cube tank that I need to know how much I can open up the top on it to fit a custom rock tower I built.

Tank info
20" x 20" x 24" tall
1/2 inch cast acrylic
Current top opening is 10"x10"
Two smaller openings in back of tank to access overflow box

So to get the rock tower into the tank I would need to make the opening in the top a 13"x13,
I know the top is for support of the sides but couldn't I go bigger?
How wide of a Euro brace is needed for a tank of these dimensions?
Any help is appreciated

Try sending a pm over to the guys at synergy or elite aquatics. They should be able to help you out. You can even try melvesreef.

Put a bar clamp on the outside of the tank, cut out what you need, then glue new pieces of acrylic back into place when your done, remove clamp, and your finished.

So the tank opening is now wide enough for the insert!, phase 2 is now in effect and in looking for a vote on the 2 different plumbing setups for my scwd squid diggely do thing. Main concern is which will flow better
