ANY ADVICE ON A MAZE BRAIN CORAL

i have a maze brain coral which at the moment is doing very well. I bought it when it was about the size of a table tennis ball. it was on a small bit of rubble , which just kept it off the bottom.
now its about the size of a tennis ball and where it curls under around the bottom is stating to touch the coral sand.
should i raise it off the bottom a couple of inches as when you see pictures of them in the wild, they always seem to be on a plinth of rock above the seabed
I would hate for it to die on the underneath, but it is so happy were it is

I would let it grow as it is. They are a mounding coral anyway, so let it mound!

And if you haven't found out yet - they can put out some amazingly long sweepers at night and they pack an impressive punch as well. Be sure to allow plenty of room between it and any other corals.

I would leave it be. Itll grow out on its own

I have always kept maze on a flat rock, slightly proud of the sand and in low flow, medium light. As contrarian, I'd put a rock under it.

well that was my thought. I appreciate everyone's advice and they saying its a mounding coral but it has nothing to mound on, except itself
