Hi all. About to start up a new Fluval EVO 13.5 as my first salt aquarium. I have had freshwater tanks for years. While looking at ways & apps to log and record my water parameters, I found a website called Aquatic Log (aquaticlog.com), and it seems to offer lots of cool features. Additionally, they have both an Android and iOS app that will sync with the web site, so parameters are theoretically always at hand. I like that idea.
BUT...
When I went to install the app on my android phone, I saw that it was requesting to have access to the phone's call information. Huh? In today's world of hacking everywhere, I am hesitant to install this without knowing why they would possibly need phone call access in a fish tank logging app.
Does anyone use this? Any issues? Might anyone recommend this - or another way of logging parameters? I am hesitant to install and run just a phone app without the ability to back up the data and restore it if I get a new phone etc. If there is a better website or app, I would appreciate your thoughts!
Thanks,
Dave
