I'm gona pursue it thru my credit card company....amoung other things. I'm not letting this piece of trash get away with this. I tried to work with him. I even offered to split the loss and only get HALF my money back even tho I did nothing wrong and it's all his fault but he says "why should he have to take a loss". He is totally disregarding my loss by his negligence. Has anybody ever rwcievwed a coral in a bag with no water??? First time ever for me
 
Wow, sorry that has happened to you. Don't let that discourage you from buying here. There are a lot of awesome reefers here and I ve met some great people. But of course there are always a couple of bad seeds. That's a hefty price tag to lose out on. But honestly if u have never dealt with someone I would personally not send payment as a gift. Especially for that amount.

Yeah that Jatin guy tried to rip me off for 500$ saying a wysiwyg coral was misrepresented...so I agreed to a 75$ refund to offset the cost/ buyers remorse. he then proceeded to not close the cases with PayPal and sent the refund back when called out about it. Luckily PayPal sided with me as the seller and I was given the full 500 payment back and he was left with the frag he purchased wysiwyg.
I'd steer clear of this user if you're buying or selling. This is a small community of people who stay in this hobby for years and it's sad to see people take advantage of honest users that buy sell and trade freely on this forum.
Sorry to hear about the loss hopefully he will make right ..

Only a honest person would make it right....he has proven to be anything but honest

That really sucks to hear. I have also been screwed on here but not by a regular user. Mr.coral stole 190 from me when he used to be a sponsor here. Didn't even bother sending me a box at all. Unfortunately I paid through PayPal not with credit card, and he dragged me on for over 45 days talking about healing time etc etc so once he stopped answering email it was too late to put in a claim.
 
dang bro. Im super sorry to hear that!! Theres still some folks you can trust, just gotta go with the people who have taken care of ya in the past. dont let this diminish your love/joy for your tank and hobby, your collection is too crazy, just use it as a lesson on what not to do in the future.

Thats terrible to hear/see, but I guess when they ask for F&F and only have 17 posts, Ill pass on their offer. Now ya got me stressing, as I just sold a pump to somebody with only a handful of posts on here, even though been member for some time..

Yea it's nuts. I feel totally victimized. This guy is a parasite for certain. I trust in people because I generally treat everyone like I want to be treated and i just couldnt imagine ripping someone off like this. If he didnt want to garantee the coral would at least arrive in a bag of water than he shouldnt of ever even reached out to me about selling it to begin with. It's unfortunate that people like this even exist in the hobby. Most everyone I have met on here are good peeps and want to help each other out, share advise, pics of favorite corals, etc. I just can't believe someone would be such a low down weasle piece of trash. I'm not gona let it go so easy but I truly hope this garbage bags gets his karma
 
Thanks for the caring thoughts my friends :) I really appreciate it. I'm feeling pretty bummed out about it and doing my best to not let it get me to down. I been stewing on it bigtime

I remember that you sold him an absolute drop dead gorgeous jawbreaker baby .... Wish I could have bought it, it was very well priced too!

I also had a friend tell me that jatin21 is a part of the Manhatten reefers club and is widely known as a scam artist on that forum as well

Rev...please remove this trash from this great forum so he doesn't scam anymore member's.
 
Wow that sucks. With that amount of money, buyer's protection should have been priority. I would have been cautious of the guy from the start; he has very few posts on a year old account and didn't take time to even upload an avatar. I know that doesn't mean anything to most people, but to me, if person can't take time to create a presence in the forums, I shouldn't be doing business(buying) with them out of high probability of a scam occurring.
