Any downsides to storing NSW in a waterbutt?

covid is making my water collection irregular and i'm considering buying a 210 liter waterbutt tomorrow. my tank is a 200 so the water would last a while. just wondered if the water would "go off" in storage or something?

A waterbutt? Thats a new one lol.

If you throw a pump in there to circulate it, it shouldn't foul. But I don't know what a waterbutt is, so maybe I'm missing something.
