I use pickling lime(mrs wages) I make up a slurry & sneak up on them with a syringe full. Has never failed me .
Iv'e also had very good results using a Copper Band. I do understand these fish aren't doable in all cases .

Just used it in the last week and no harmful effects however some of the aptasia that shrunk and appeared to die were right back the next day

I use it to get rid of hitchhiker xenia...if it gets too close to my SPS it does bleach it pretty bad but they recover over time.

I thought about this one...should be easy enough to not injure anyone/thing other than the target pest but in the end the laser just seemed to dangerous for me since my fish seem to pop in and out of rocks all the time.

I also use Aptasia x to ward off weed Paly’s growing out of control. It absolutely decimates them. I love this stuff
I tried this multiple times with no luck. Ended up having to take out several rocks and rescape the entire tank. Is there a trick to this?

I had a horrible experience with that lost 2 tuxedo damsels because of my "carelessness" w the laser
:(

I also have a mojo wand which wirks But cannot reach at certain angles within tank

Hmmmm... are you shutting down all flow and hitting them in the face? I do it all the time. They get so angry, then I hit again the next day and they almost always relent and melt out. Even super stubborn Paly’s that are just tough as nails go down. Not really sure how not working for you. I have toasted sooo many this way... all the time

I wish they would come out with a cherry or vanilla flavor. the original tastes a bit chalky......

Yeah, I shut down the pumps for 15-20 min. Hit them right in the mouth and they get really mad for several days then just popped back up like nothing happened. I tried multiple times with the same outcome. I guess I just had a super strain of trash palys.

Mix up some kalk paste and try that

Have you found anything that kills majanos?

The only thing that I've found is manual removal using a razor blade, removing them whole as they have tough little feet like anemones. Separate their foot from the rock they get netted right out of the tank

.
I have found joes juice to work better on the majanos. I do not suck it out I let it sit for at least a half hour and have had good luck with the ones I can get at. The thing I had do a great job was filefish but when the anemones are gone I had to remove it because it was picking on my acans. I put it in the sump and it took care of them in there too.

As much as I love aiptasia x sometimes it may take more than one application to kill them. To be fair my hands are kinda shaky so I dont apply it as well as i could. I much prefer it to using biological controls like peppermint shrimp.

Most of these products are made with kalk.
Simply mix kalkwasser powder with water into a thicker solution and inject into core of aptasia via a syringe and the aptasia will melt away.

Interesting, I've not found aptasia-X to be all that effective, particularly against majanos. Maybe I should be using majano-X.
I've used aiptasia x on mine seem to work for me they don't implode like aptasia they just close up around it ...

Worked for me but i have same results using kalkwasser powder mixed into a thin paste.
For crevices, can’t beat a kleini butterfly

what do you use to get rid of Xenia? the aptasia x? How effective is it. I have a small batch that I want to get ahead of.
