Any experience with Coralife led lights?

I started a 90 gallon tank and got everything I need setup except for lights. I saw a coralife led light at a lfs and was trying to see reviews on it but cant really find anything on it. I’m only planning on doing some soft corals and lps corals in the tank and just want to make sure this light is sufficient enough for those corals, it doesn’t really show too much specs when I look for descriptions of them. Has anyone used these lights? And how well are they for softies and lps corals?

Depends on what you want to spend. There's good options from low $100 up to $800+ per light fixture.

I was looking into around the $100-$250 just looking into doing some softies and lps

Mars Aquas, Viparsectra....etc would be in that price range for each fixture.

Thats a pretty deep tank! I have these lights and just got them a few weeks ago. They look great . Nice shimmer without much disco at all and I had the same problem finding info then I finally did. One th e box it says the highest par is 60 at 12 inches down but on their website it says double that, so not bad for a small tank. I have a ten gallon, but for a 90 in order to get enough par you would have to go with 2 so in that case I would say vipar spectra or something like that and you probably will need 2 as well or one of the really big ones. Also regarding corallife seascape. I dont like that you cant individually adjust intensity of each color like you can on current orbit, but I lik e that coral life is a wider and bigger fixture and give you way more leds.

Wow beautiful reef! I was actually looking at those lights on amazon and saw some good stuff about it. Heard the settings can be a bit confusing. What are you using to hang them over your tank, can’t find any mounts that go with it

Thank you, it just goes to prove that expensive is not always better.
There are only two channels in which you can change the intensity, the violet/blue channel and the red/green/white channel. Of course it comes with a timer for each channel.

The are quite simple lighting fixtures, you can’t daisy chain them, no WiFi, no special effects, corals really don’t care much about that stuff, just the usable light it needs to maintain its photosynthetic process.

On the blue channel, I am running 100%, however I started at 50%, and took 6 months to fully ramp.
Careful with this light, it pushes a ton of PAR. The green/red/white channel I run at 1%, this gives the greatest pop in corals.

They come with a hanging kit for the ceiling which works great for me, but I have seen people use several different mounting options.

I mount 14” above the water for the best coverage.

The problem is that the price is for 1 light, you would need at least 2 for your tank, so double the price if you're looking at "puck" lights.

That would be correct, it may handle some low light softies.
If your thinking on Visparspectra 165w, then two assuming your tank is 48” wide.
Many of the reef type lighting usually handle about 24” cube.

Yes I’m looking at those what about mounts I don’t want to mount up in the ceiling is there Any other mounts available

Nope, you would have to DYI them.
You could consider Nicrew Hypereef 150, 3 puck, but these you need a add a simple on/off timer.
