Any experience with kessil 160we ??

I use one grows acros like a champ , haven't had anything else under it but I'd imagine the same outcome. If you get one take your time adjusting corals to the new light there very strong.

I love it. I run a one gallon reef packed with coral with that kessil best light ive ever had. in fact ive only been on led for two weeks lol but my reeftank was 10 yrs old, it was power compact this whole time.

I love mine, I'm using it for my fug. I like being able to control intensity and frequency of light. The WE is also has more power, 40 watts.

I think kessil is the best LED fixture in the industry with the best LED chip in the industry. But they don't have as much power in PAR values as you would think. From personal experiences having owned both the 360we and 160we they have the best par distribution and penetration out of all the LED fixtures on the market and the video that BRS just came out with on all the best LED fixtures in the industry will also confirm this (great watch BTW).

Again from personal experience on my SPS tanks they do great until the point where your corals become colonies. Then you run into serious issues with SPS very noticeably shading themselves. Not the only person that notices this also, I ended up selling them and switching to a ATI Sunpower T5HO fixture. Don't get me wrong I love kessil but with all LED fixtures they have their downsides. I have a all LPS tank running on kessil for close to 2 years and have yet to have issues with shading. So my verdict for longevity you'll be perfectly good with LPS and soft corals but for SPS its not a matter of if but a matter of when you run into shading issues. At that point your going to have to decided whether to switch lighting type or drop the cash on putting multiple LED fixtures on the tank to compensate for the shading. For me switching to T5HO fit my budget and goals for my SPS better at least until these LED companies figure out a solution for shading issues. I would love to try the new p700 but at this point I would rather take that money and make a large coral order then drop the cash on a light haha.

I have mine angled all weird just for that reason nice post lol. they'd look better in my house aiming down, but I need that side input for sure. which means when washing dishes, a blast of photons in the face. but the color is worth it and the no heat!! first time im not having to fan mind=blown
