Or blue dot goni? I'm not sure if it's the lighting but this thing is amazing!

Thanks! I'll send them a message.
I know that there is somewhat a blanket care guide. So perhaps I'll follow that failing any specific advise.

I have what i bought as a powder blue goni. It is white with dark blue tips on the tentacles. No blue center at the mouth like yours. It does not prefer the same lighting as my regular goni. It took awhile to find its lighting. Much lower than other goni. All my goni like medium high lighting. Just not direct. About euphyllia levels. This white one likes plate coral levels.

Thanks for the info! It'll definitely start out on the bottom for sure. I won it in an ebay auction, so I'm looking forward to receiving it as soon as I can.

It looks bleached to me.
It has a little blue and looks like some purple pigment but it is void of any Zooxanthellea.

Blue is pigments in the coral that give them different colors. The pigments have different purposes. Zooxanthellea are brown dinoflagellates that live in the corals tissue and provide food for the coral or it will in most cases starve to death. When they are gone that is what is meant by bleached.. In that first picture there are none. They can comeback sometimes. But the coral usually needs to be feed and goni's are hard to begin with.

I'm aware of what bleaching means. I'm aware of what zooxanthellae are. The lighting in the first photo is what is giving the tint, as you can see by the eggcrate and it's tint. It wasn't taken by me. The lighting is 400watt Radium 20,000k bulb with actinic LED supplementation. There is only blue dot in the center. And again, I don't think it's bleached. If it turns out to be the case, I'll stand corrected and will apologize.

Either way, one of three things will happen. A) it lives and stays white. B) it dies altogether. C) it changes color.

That pretty much sums it up. :-) nicely.

I believe the piece has lost some zooxanthellae as well.

Perhaps you should try some Goniopower and see what happens. My Gonio like Acropower as well, but use sparingly.

I broadcast, but again I use far less than the recommended dosing. Once a week 3 ccs, I dose other coral foods like Sponge Power, and Pohls and I feed the fish heavily once a day.

If I use too much Acropower I get cyano growth in about 3 days.
