Any experience yet with the new gyre pumps?

cant decide whether I want to give them a shot now for my new sps tank or stick with the vortechs I'm used to

Tunze if your tank is a rectangle shape IMO. Or at least Gyre...

What size and shape is your tank? (Dimensions!)

Yeah my tank is rectangular. 72x27x27. I was going to either do 2 gyre 250s or like 3 mp40s

I have a 60x24x24 tank and with 2 mp40s and a new gyre xf230. The gyre moves a surprising amount of water. I'm gnna try moving the mp40s to the back wall and run the gyre from the side and see how that works out as well. But just from initial playing around with the gyre I'm pretty impressed with it

Idk if I would say I like it better but i would definitely recommend it on a long tank like yours. You will see the flow actually reach the other end of ur tank. My mp40s weren't able to cover the length of the tank as well. The gyre reaches the other end of the tank comfortably

A gyre 250 with an addon pump is cheaper and will move more water than 3x MP40. Plus the ICV6 firmware upgrade is coming so you can control the pumps with your phone a la reeflink.
