Any good lfs in LA?

Going to be down there next weekend for my birthday and would love to score some nice SPS.

Anything worth finding??!?

Vivid aquariums. You wont need to go to the rest.
Basicly the 405 and the 101 intersection I believe.

That one is the BEST. forget disneyland. Im sure these more, perhaps others will chime in.

The aquarium co. In culver city.. Angel and Harold on the weekends are awesome

I completely agree. For corals, SPS particularly, Vivid is the place to go near LA. I visit them regularly when craving a new stick. They are just north of the 101 and west (north) of the 405.

Theres one more north of there In reseda that is supposed to be pretty good, I cant remember the name, off the 405 as well, never been there.

If u like sps it's hard to beat vivid. There's other really nice stores like California aquariums. But when it comes to sps vivid might has the best selection I've seen in the valley

Yeah, there are a few in the area, but the only quality shop is Vivid. When I first moved to LA I checked out every store I could find and Vivid was the only one that had decent prices and the best selection of corals, soft and hard.

Now, I will say I'm rather picky when it comes the condition of a reef shop. If the health is in question, I don't shop there. Never had an issue with Vivid.
