Any guesses on what this is?

This is under a handheld 1600x microscope. Any guesses on what this worm is? It’s on my reef glass. They’re about the size of 1 mm or less.

I thought it was a flatworm but now I’m not so sure because 1) it looks segmented and 2) if it were a flatworm, the shape would be more similar to a freshwater species.

I'm fairly confident that's a Dinophilid worm of some variety, probably either a Dinophilus or Dimorphilus species, but I can't say for sure from the video. It should be harmless/beneficial.

Wow! Thank you. That's an obscure one. I googled images of ever marine annelid, nematode, and flatworm and did not come across dinophilids once in my search. But that makes total sense. The morphology pans out. Interstitial species, about 1 mm, lives between the grains of substrate, head with six segments on the body.

I've been using flatworm exit the past 3 weeks with no effect. Glad they're just CUC and won't physically grow beyond a few mm.

This one should definitely be bookmarked for others in the future.
