Any harm in using a super cheap pump for water changes with a Brute trash can?

Just got a Brute trash can for water changes, but not I'm realizing I need a pump as well. Is there any harm in ordering something super cheap like this:
I would just be concerned with any sort of leaching, etc. Open to recommendations, too!

Nope, no harm. It works just fine. I use the cheap aquaneat 660 gph one from Amazon (similar to that). I have 2-3 of them lying around for general use.

I wouldn't worry, sometimes the cheap ones start to throw stray volts after a while but that shouldn't matter for just for mixing.

Nope. I believe I've been using that exact pump for years (and a brute, of course).

Water change equipment is one of the few chances to go cheap in this hobby. My only input is don't go too weak with the pump, deliberately get a big overkill one. Once you account for pipe length and height, it can really impact flow. My current water change pump takes upwards of half an hour to refill my tank...

I have that one and it stays in the brute with a short hose for keeping water flow (laying on its side, not squirting straight up)

If you have a Sump, and Return Pump, I’d think along the lines of what could be used if my Return Pump failed. I have a Danner Model 2, to mix in my Brute Containers. After mixing I Switch to a small in-tank Filter. The Danner 2, isn’t anywhere near the GPM of my Return, but will do till a replacement can be received. Also it is just the right GPM to blow off Corals and the Sand bed, without damage.
