Is there any downside to running both Rowaphos and carbon in the same reactor? If ok what should the flow rate be?

The rate they get exhausted will be different. The carbon will most likely outlast the rowaphos. Plus the ruble rate will be slower with the rowaphos.

They have different useful lives and different flow requirements so to get the best out of both they should be run individually of each other. You will end up wasting carbon or stretching GFO past its prime.

This is true. ^^ I guess I'm wasteful because I run carbon and GFO in one reactor. I use a small amount and change in every two weeks.

Just don't want to tumble carbon. Will make fines all over.
If you can separate w/something sponge , floss , stocking etc would help
