Hi everyone. . .im new here have been keeping a reef tank for a couple years now. . . currently have a 12 gallon all in one cube lagoon. Tank has been running for a little over a year now. Lately my zoas have not been looking so hot staying closed up. Jist tested my water with salifert test kits and my cal is over 800 my mag is over 1500 Nd my kh is 4.5. Salinty 1.026 . . . . . have been doing weekly 10 percent water changes with IO reef crystals. How in the world do i get the cal and mag down while bringing kh back up as well. Should i discontonue using the reef crystals and switch to regular IO? Im aware there are much better salt mixes but IO is the only salt available locally unfortunitly. Any help is greatly appreaciated

Reef Crystals has pretty high elements so water changes will take longer to change. Water changes should bring the Ca and Mg down while also bring the kH up. Just realize the closer the levels get to the new salt water the less of an effect it will have. One thing I would do is make sure the test kit are not out of date.
