Hi everyone I have a 30g reef tank and I have to juvenile clown fish. I have a long tentacle anemone that I would like them to host. I have put the three of them into a breeder box and they have been in there for 3 days now. They don't seen to want to host...what am I doing wrong?

I will be trying this tonight. I read on another forum here that when the lights are off to shine a flashlight or camera light from your cell. Shine it on the Anemone you want them to host. I read it will be a process like 3-5 days. I will follow up after my findings on said topic.

Sometimes, its really up to them. Mine didn't come together for about 3 weeks. I've seen some reports of up to 8 months before they came together.

Thank you I'll keep you posted too

I recently purchased a Carpet Anemone and my paired clowns had no interest in it. i printed out a picture of an anemone hosting two clowns and taped it to the side of the tank close to where the carpet was at. it took about an hour and both my clowns are now glued to the carpet.

try finding a picture of a clown hosting in a nem that is similar to yours. worked for me :)

Does it need to be in color. I am assuming yes. I too have a carpet anenome, I tried someone else advice with the lights off shine a flashlight on the Anemone. I did it, and all 3 of my clowns were drawn to the light, but no dice on the home. Mind you I have 3 condys as well in my tank and my clowns rather be in my Frogspawn and hammer.

I'm not 100% sure.
I read about it in a random search and my wife just happened to have purchased a printer about 4 days ago. Mine was printed in color and i was completely shocked over the results.
