Got this frag from a friend, not actually sure if it’s acro or something??

Anyway, I had a trigger that ate the living hell out of it and it got lost in the tank. Trigger has since been moved to another tank, and I found this piece and I’ve glued it to a rock after noticing it still has some flesh left on it.

Any chance of a recovery, regardless of how long? I don’t care how long, I just want it to survive.

This must be a pic before it got ate? Or after? If after, looks good, should make it if given correct environment.
This is a torch. Lots of info on them if you search.

Not torch, it's the bleach piece that is blending in with rock, likely a monti of a sort. Yeah, if that rock is an indicator, the tank probably too new support even torch. That little nub is looking like death to me, fyi.

LOL, I didn't even see that little thing. It blended into the rock.

It’s a gonna, unfortunately.

With some tissue left there is always a chance it will recover, but with the shape it is currently in I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Also, it is a SPS but looks more like a birdsnest to me, which means it should be fairly hardy and that increases the odds of it recovering.

As stated that tank looks very new...can be tough to keep even healthy acros. Unfortunately I don't think there is any hope for him, but it doesn't hurt to leave it in there and see what happens.

Yeah the tank is only about 4 months old at this point, I have some live rock in the tank that hasn't quite leached any coralline to the rocks adjacent but the bio filtration is doing fairly well at the moment. Recently had high nitrates at 20ppm but since come down.

People are saying the tank is not old enough to support the torch, but it's been doing well enough since I got it. Picture was taken late at night so it wasn't fully extended.
