Any hope that it will recover?

Today I received a couple of Sps corals that a purchased from a particular person. They are grow out cuts of his reef tank. Unfortunately a couple of the frags didn't have such a nice ride. The seller lives up north, and he used a heat pad on the box with the frags. I live in Miami and today was a hot day so i think the heat affected the frag. There is one frags that i am most concerned with and dont know if he can recover. I am wondering if anyone has had sps mostly bleached and recovered. I will upload some pictures. I would appreciate any feedback.

That looks like total necrosis, not bleaching, but if there’s even one good viable polyp left it MAY survive. I have a piece where almost 98% of the tissue RTNed and left a few polyps scattered here and there, and it’s still surviving where those polyps are. If you don’t see any polyps, then it’s dead.

Yeah it looks like a pretty bad RTN to me also. Looks like a goner but as said if even 1 polyp lives it will regrow. Heat stress will kill a coral faster than almost anything.

Always a good idea to take a temp when you open the box. A temp gun is cheap at Harbor Freight. I always do so that I can report back if the box got too hot.

Those look like goners to me too. Sorry.
