I don't know if this is all of it or some of it? Short version, I picked up my first coral, there was a very small hole in the coral and as it sat in my QT tank I saw this "arm" going in and out. So I pulled it out of my QT and it's currently residing in a big cup with tank water. I did manage to pull this out of the hole. Sorry for the picture quality but it's really pretty small. I don't know if it looks like the arm of a micro brittle star? If so, sorry I ripped his arm off but this is all very new to me and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I see my brittle after dark late at night. First time I seen it 0100 I thought I had an octopus in the tank. Turns out it was a brittle starfish that was moving locations. Forgot to tell you that arm may grow another star was well. If you still have it. Watch it closely because if it starts to disintegrate remove it quick. You don't want your water to go foul.
