Hi chaps, Any ideas please? Friend or foe? It’s about 2.5” long 1.5” wide and 3/4” thick, it’s more of a mottled green/ greyblue colour. Ive just spotted it for he first time, sorry about pics my lights have just gone into moonlight, hence the overblue hue

Hmmm. Can you pull it and get some better pics in a container?

Could be a cuke of some sort but it does look like a limpet...

A couple of things in my mind.

Sea hare: Unlikely given perfectly oval shape
Marine Pulmonate: Shape is similar; unlikely since they are air breathing and found in the intertidal
Limpet is my best guess but I don't really know what you mean by soft until I see it

Possibly a fleshy limpet, they'll appear squishy but have a hard undershell, the hole in the top is what's making me think it has to be a limpet of some sort

I’d not heard of fleshly limpets, could be a good call, hopefully I’ll see him again today and can get a better picture under daylights, I’m assuming a limpet is reef safe

Except key hole limpets and scutus...they are known to munch on sps occassionally.
